 First United Travel, Inc. (FUTI) was established last 15 February 1982 as a response to
the growing "commercialization" of the travel agency business, a situation that left
much to be desired, and that left many corporate clients not much choice.FUT
I was thus born to give corporate clients at least some choice from a plethora of
run-of-the-mill agencies.
There were agencies, sure enough, which have continued to uphold the highest
standards of travel agency businesses. And these agencies would be begrudge
welcoming a professional to their club.
Of course, through the years, we have soon enough become a leading competitor in the business (in
friendly competition) and thus, can match their manpower, facilities, and services - from our viewpoint,
with difference: we have the "personalized touch."
FUTI is affiliated with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Bank Settlement Plan of the Philippines and Philippine Travel Agencies Association.
Through its existing years, FUTI has served an increasing number of clients, individual and corporate -
and they have remained with since, as a result of satisfactory client-agency relations. This performance
has not gone unnoticed. Soon enough FUTI started getting bigger and broader market base. Furthermore,
FUTI has been recognized as one of the Top Ten Producers (for commercial accounts) of the International
Air Carriers for the past years. We were awarded by Philippine Airlines the bronze and silver plates for two consecutive years and one of the top agents of Northwest Airlines in 1998.
Actually, these awards confirm what our clients have long known. And it is the quiet recognition of our clients that we value most. Such recognition has served, and maintained the highest standards of professionalism in the industry.
Part of our management system and policy is a strong emphasis on continuing training for our staff - not
only to the skills inherit in travel agency work, but also on the business of our clients. If there is something that can be said of our staff members, they heavily market - and - client oriented.
